Training Resources for Extension Professionals

On the 4-H Afterschool Training Resources for Extension Professionals pages you will find numerous resources to assist you as you prepare to train after-school staff.  We have included resources that review topics such as the need for after-school programs, what is 4-H Afterschool, youth development, experiential learning, and evaluation.  Much of this information focuses on 4-H Afterschool, itself.  Here you will find resources such as a paper on the theoretical basis for 4-H Afterschool, the 4-H Afterschool Strategic Plan, the 4-H Afterschool Logic Model and MOU’s with two national after-school partner agencies.

Program Resources for After-School Staff

On the 4-H Afterschool Program Resources for After-school Staff you will find numerous resources that will assist you with your program implementation.  We have included resources to help you implement your program such as 4-H created after-school activity sheets and examples of evaluation tools; market your program including images you can use to create exhibits and banners, our 4-H Afterschool brochure, and even a bookmark; and resources to help you tell your story including a “How To” document on writing press releases and “fill-in-the-blank” news releases!  We have even included information about a free, web-based 4-H Afterschool course you can take to learn all you can about 4‑H Afterschool.

CYFAR Afterschool Enrichment Project

The Florida After School Enrichment Project is funded through the USDA/Cooperative State Research, Education, and Extension Service's Children, Youth and Families At-Risk (CYFAR) national initiative.
